Admissions Requirements

RN to BSN Program

General Requirements:

  • Completed application 
  • Official transcripts from all post secondary institutions attended. International students should get their transcripts evaluated by an agency approved by National Association of Credential Evaluation Services
  • Students whose native language is not English and who do not reside and work in the U.S should meet the Minimum English Language requirement. Please refer to the international students section in the website for more information on English Language Requirements
  • Personal statement of intent
  • Resume or curriculum vitae
  • Photo ID (license, passport, or other government issued identification)
 
 
Prerequisites:
  • Current unencumbered RN License
  • Professional CPR Certification
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 30 semester credits of General Education Requirements with a minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale
  • 60 semester credit hours of Nursing Prerequisites with a minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale

*30 semester credits of General Education and 60 semester credits of Nursing Prerequisites/Nursing Courses can be met with an Associate Degree in Nursing

** Up to 30 semester credit hours of Nursing Prerequisites / Nursing Courses can be awarded through nursing continuing education, or work experience as RN. Student must apply for an experiential learning assessment in the prescribed format to be considered for Experiential Learning Credit. Please refer to the Experiential Learning Credit in the admissions section for more information.

Please note: No more than 75% of the credit hours can be transferred into SKU (90 semester credit hours). Additionally, no more than 25% of the transferred credit hours can be awarded through experiential learning credit (30 semester credit hours max).

MBA in Healthcare Management (MHM)

The MHM curriculum prepares students for career advancement by providing in-depth knowledge and application of contemporary health care policy and health management issues and situations. Online MHM students and graduates are able to apply their newly acquired knowledge immediately.

Applications are processed as they are received throughout the year.

General Requirements:

  • Completed application 
  • A bachelor's degree, not necessarily in a business discipline, is required
  • Official transcripts including proof of degree conferred (for international applicants, transcripts must be officially translated into English). Applicants should have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.7 (A=4.0) for the last 60 semester hours of undergraduate course work. The grade point average for International students with a foreign degree is based on all undergraduate course work. Non-degree course work will not be used in the GPA calculation
  • Students whose native language is not English and who do not reside and work in the U.S should meet the Minimum English Language requirement. Please refer to the international students section in the website for more information on English Language Requirements
  • Personal statement of intent (250 words double spaced typed essay as to why to wish to pursue Master of Healthcare Management)
  • Resume or curriculum vitae
  • Three letters of recommendation. From Whom: Professional references from an immediate supervisor, current or past, are preferred. Academic references are acceptable
  • Application fee (Only applicants whose fees have been paid will be reviewed)

All course material is delivered via our online student learning program. Students must have access to internet to complete the assigned tasks and participate in examinations. Our learning portal is supported by all web browsers.
